Haider is a witness to the tragic bombing of a bus full of school kids and along with his father, he tries to save lives. How does he confront his problems and how much a man can face is the climax of this film. The lead character, Shahid Kapoor , has expressed that “In order to make something honest it needs to be honest from its beginning”. This could be applicable for this movie as the movie starts from the past of Haider, shows how Haider falls in love with Shruti and then how he meets her again after 16 years. He falls in love with her again, but could not come out of it even though 16 years have passed by. The relationship between Haider and his father is also very well-defined in the movie because it shows how a father and son can fight with each other for their own rights and freedom.The cast of the movie has done a good job because each and every actor has given his/her best to make people fall in love with their characters. Shahid Kapoor’s love for Shruti Hassu is obvious as he fights to reunite with her again even after 16 years, but he could not as at that time she was already married to her husband, Colonel Ahsan. He also tries to create a strong bond between him and his father, but could not as they were fighting for their own rights. These fights between father and son, husband and wife, lover and lover, did create a good impact on the movie. The music of the movie is also very good because the music director has used the same tune for many songs. This makes it easy for us to identify one song from another. The lead actor of this movie, Shahid Kapoor has sung four songs but could not outdo his own singing skills in "Heyy Babyy" (2007) or "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani" (2009). The movie can be said to be a thriller as well . It tries to show every emotion that a man might have in his life time in just two hours.
